Help my chick that pipped on the wrong end?

Hi all!

This is just my second hatch so I'm a newbie. The first egg to pip yesterday pipped at the wrong end. It was about 23 hours ago. It has made very slow progress. It now has a very small hole and has made it through the membrane. It is definitely still alive and trying to zip but not advancing. Since this one pipped 3 others have hatched and the last 2 other eggs are currently zipping. I was thinking if it hasn't made it out by tonight I should help it. Can I wait that long? I work today so trying to decide if I should have my husband help it along this afternoon if no progress. I attached a pic of current state, almost a full day after external pip. Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated!

I think you should go ahead and help it if its been a whole day since.

Usually when they pip on the wrong side they need extra time to absorb the yolk.
You can open it up more from the pipping point but if it starts to bleed just wait more.

Thanks all! This one made it out on its own this morning. We lost another one that I think got smothered by all the chicks that had already hatched while trying to zip.
