have had my chickens for 2 years on Feb 9 FYI. just almost a week ago I noticed my chicken walking a bit weird she looks perfectly fine she purs eats her treats and drinks water everything a chicken does lol but she walks as if you were to put a hand on top of her you know when u put ur hand on top and they continue to walk but like bent due to ur hand on top that's what I mean and sometimes to like the side very slightly tho. then right now right now her head shakes as a chicken would if you were to yell. Also, she is molting right now which I can understand they eat less and that's what I see also. I will take her to the vet because I don't know and am worried about my girl but do you guys know??

Welcome to BYC

Do you have photos of her?

If she's molting, she may not be feeling the best. Sometimes they can have some odd actions, especially when a lot of pin feathers are coming in.

I'd try to encourage her to eat her normal nutritionally balanced poultry feed. You can give a little extra protein like egg, fish (tuna, sardines, mackerel) a few times a week to help her through molt.
If she's feeling poorly, give her vitamins may also help. Poultry Cell is a good choice, give a direct oral dose of 1cc per 3pounds of weight about 3 times a week.

If you can get video of the head movements, that would be helpful in understanding your description. Upload video to YouTube and provide a link.

It may be that she's adjusting her crop? Check her crop first thing in the morning before she eats/drinks, see if it's emptying.

yes, I have photos of her and as for the crop it does not seem any different or weird. . It’s normal, but I will check in the morning. and I will upload a link for the way she walks.

Overall, she’s just walking a bit weird and everything is normal waddles and comb are a a bright, normal color red and when I give her treats, she eats them.
