Help my chicken died and I dont know why?

i have read somewhere online that you can send in a sample of blood, i think and they will tell you why the chicken died, but i cant find it now, does anybody know where it is, i need it soon because i cant leave a dead chicken in the coop

You can refrigerate the body in a plastic bag, and send it to your state vet for a necropsy. I am not aware of taking a blood sample to tell the cause of death. A necropsy is much more involved looking at organs and tissue samples for disease. Soory for your loss, by the way. Did you notice any unusual symptoms lately? Had the chicken been ill in the past, and have you lost other birds recently? What was the age?

Some pathologists like to have a blood sample submitted with the deceased bird, but it must be blood that was taken before the animal died.

We actually got the bird a few week ago, and it did have messed up feet from being in the shell too long, but it was acting fine and I just went down there and it was dead, thank you

Sorry for your loss. If you're in the US your State might offer a free or low cost necropsy service. This is how I send mine:
