We noticed a few days ago a her neck was really red and looked sore. Then it went away. Well now its back and its worse!!! I don't no what to do. She is encredibly sad right now like shes not talking and she just curled up under my neck and went to sleep immediately. Im scared. Please tell me its not serious. I noticed the my four chicks were a bit rowdy today as well. The lid was left open a bit and they were attempting to jump out, which is weird, but whenever my hurt chicken would try to jump up the bigger chicken in the group would flap her wings and knock her back down. She is a tiny bit smaller than the other chickens. We love her! I posted a picture of her neck! All her quills and baby fur and stuff is falling out.

The other chicks could be picking on her. If possible, try separating her from the others(with access to plenty of food and water, of course!) And wait to see if it gets better. If not, I recommend seeing a veterinarian. Hope she gets better!

They are starting to establish their pecking order, and she is being pecked. A little BluKote dabbed on her skin or some Rooster Booster Pick No More lotion would be good. Try getting a large box for a brooder with a screened lid. They may need more room. Put a little roost in there to fly up on. Make sure that you brooder temperature is not too hot. Your thermometer on the brooder floor needs to be down to 80 the 3rd week, 75 the 4th week, and so on. Here are some ideas on brooders: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/homemade-chicken-brooder-designs-pictures
