Today my neighbors dog escaped from the neighbers house and decided it would be a good idea to chase one of my maturing hens and took a deep bite in her neck and get a good peice out of her, when few hours past I found my hen laying under the coop with her head on the ground I picked her up gently to see their wasn't any serious bleeding but a few peices of live skin was hanging and I was pretty sure I could see some of the bone
I put peroxide on but I am scared to do anything else that won't damage her or cause any unneeded pain right now I have placed her in a quiet place with a heat pad and some water !!!!help what do I do!!!!!!

The main thing is to keep the wound clean infection from a dog bite could soon set in and cleanliness is paramount in these situations. You have done the right thing putting her somewhere quiet can you make it so it's dark for her? This should help too with the shock of the attack. Shock can be a killer just as much as the wounds. If the wounds are very deep as it sounds because you can see bone, could you get her to a vet?
the owners should get
I am a dog lover, and mine were perfectly content in a fenced area where they caused no grief to anyone and no stray dogs could get to them.. It's lazy, irresponsible people that insist on letting them roam.
and Welcome To BYC! Sorry about your hen, hope she recovers.
