For a couple of days, I have realised that my fattest chicken, Chippy, isn't up to what she loves to do. She loves to sleep on me, look for food and run. But now she just stands there and gives me a sad look.

Chippy's body looks bigger during the past days. Do you think that this has to do with her strange behaviour? And why is she acting like this?

I'm no expert, others will give better answers than I ever could, but you might want to fill in some more information, what breed, how old, how long since last molt, if you've been worming or testing for worms regularly, if she's laying regularly, if she's stopped laying, etc.

Whoops, I forgot to add more info. Chippy is 2 yo Isa Brown who has been molting ever since last week. When she wasn't being herself, she stopped laying eggs. The last egg she laid was an egg with a soft shell that spattered everywhere. I am not sure if she had been tested for worms.
