Help my chicken lost almost all her feathers in just about 4 days!!

I recently noticed that one of my 2 hens started losing a lot of feathers at a time! She now is almost naked on her torso! Also she has some redness between her toes. What do I do????? What's wrong with her? I have moves her inside because she has no feathers and it's cold. Also some runny poo and she quit laying. She is 2

Usually when chickens lose feathers it’s because of a molt but it sounds like your girl lost a lot at one time.

How old is she? Chickens molt about 16-18 months old and then yearly thereafter. They can lose their feathers suddenly with a molt or gradually. Pictures may be helpful. If they ever go without water or food, or suffer another type of stressful event, they can also molt suddenly. I had a broody hen who went into a molt in February once at 2 years when she had been broody and hatched chicks.

She is molting. Those are pin feathers coming in on her abdomen and legs.
