First off I just want to say that I’ve learned my lesson and won’t be letting my dog anywhere near them again. I feel so bad for giving him the chance to attack.
My blue Orpington roo was attacked while free ranging, he’s only 10 weeks. He and his hens ran back into the coop and I closed the door behind them. I noticed that he was limping badly on one foot and was laying down. I assumed he was in shock so I brought him inside and put him in a box with food and water.
Is there anything else I can do?? I don’t notice any puncture wounds, just the limp. I can’t keep him inside for more than a day because I don’t have a box big enough for him. I also don’t have any electrolytes or vitamins to give him.
Please tell me what I should do!!

Thats terrible! Do you have a dog crate, or even a storage tub? That would work to keep him in just put blankets down. A recipe to make electrolytes at hime that works is:

8 teaspoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon potassium chloride (optional)
Then mix them together, and add 1 1/2 teaspoons of it to a quart of water.

Have you felt and tried to move his peg where it might be injured? Is it swollen at all? Good luck!

Thank you for the recipe! I do have a cat carrier but it’s pretty small, he’s a big bird. I haven’t felt his leg but it doesn’t look swollen, I will feel it.

He just started panting, is that because it’s too hot inside or something else? Could he have a fever?
Edit: I felt both of his legs, he doesn't react when I press on them. The only time it hurts him is when he walks on the right one.

How hot is it inside? Chickens sometimes can pants when they're stressed. If he has a fever its probably a sign of infection. Can you bring him to the vet to get antibiotics?

Inside is cooler than it is outside, he doesn’t have any puncture wounds so I don’t know what would be infected. We can’t go to the vet right now, we cant risk getting Covid-19. Other than giving him electrolytes and keeping him in a quiet and dark place, is there anything else I can do? What are the chances that he will recover?

If he hasn’t got any puncture wounds I’d say it’s unlikely to be an infection, he may of sprained his leg whilst running away. You’re doing the right thing encouraging him to drink, keeping him somewhere safe, dark and quiet too will likely help with the stress. May sound crazy but soothe him, especially if he knows your voice that may help too. Keep an eye on him and if he’s drinking maybe encourage some food. Hope he gets better soon!

Thank you! He seemed unhappy inside so I brought him back out with his hens, I hope that was the right thing to do. He seems to be eating and drinking fine but he constantly lays down and seems tired. Probably because it hurts to walk. I gave him some electrolyte water and he has a dark place in his enclosure where he can feel safe. I sat with him for a while too. If he has a sprained leg, will it just heal on its own?

If he seems happier out there then you have, the laying down and tiredness I would say is likely just to be from the events of the day and his leg. He is acting just as our girl was when she had a run in with a cat/fox in the garden, she came in the house for a check up and snooze then went back out with the others, she was also limping! Shouldn’t have any issues with it healing by itself, maybe just reduce Any free range time so he’s not running around on it so much, it took a good few days to a week for our girl to start walking properly on it again. Hope this helps, keep us updated to how he is!

Thanks! Today I noticed that he was more active and wasn’t limping quite as much! Im so glad that he is recovering quickly. Its sad to watch him though, he can’t roost during the night because I assume it hurts to jump on to the perch :( But at least he is getting better! Thank you all for the replies.
