Help my chickens are attacking me!!!

Ok, so maybe it's not too serious, but my current flock I raised from chicks and hand fed them treats. It was all fun and games until they became adults. Now they assume if I am outdoors with them I have treats. This seems cute and all but sometimes I like to walk around my yard barefoot. Imagine if you will an entire flock of chickens pecking your feet. It's a little strange, to say the least. It doesn't really hurt me, but it's freaking my wife out. I kinda have them trained that if I bend over and show them a closed fist it means I have nothing for them and they leave me alone but my wife is still freaking out. Really I am asking how to break this habit of feet pecking so my wife won't feel endangered LOL.
Any ideas on how I can get them to stop?
Also, they don't peck shoes, only bare feet. I can only surmise they are too dumb to know the difference between a hand and a foot.

Want to know how I got my cat to stop attacking my bare feet? I finally learned to always wear shoes or slippers.

Yeah, my cat trained me. Maybe your chickens will train you too.

Wear shoes, no more hand feeding, eventually they’ll stop swarming you. If you want to keep feeding treats, wear shoes.

Poo on bare feet is not good... You should have shoes that come off at the door, so no poo is tracked into the house.

I miss walking barefoot - now it's always flip-flops because while I can avoid dog , chicken is harder to see in the grass. I'd have to say your chickens are smart to have trained you so well
