Help!!! My chickens have stopped laying

I have a flock of 17 and lately I have been getting 2-3 eggs a day. I know a couple of my chickens aren't laying anymore. But I still should be getting more eggs than that. I have gone through all the possibilities I can think of, feed, water, molting, heat, etc. the only thing that has changed was I got 5 five month old chickens about a month ago, 1 is a rooster. But they are in a different coop. Would the new chickens affect the old chickens even though they are in a different coop? Or is there something I'm missing?

My first guess is that it's just the dang heat that's getting to them.....stresses them out.
