This is how my girl walks with it and she now puts it under her when she sits down. Thank goodness. I thought maybe this could be Marek's disease, but she has been healthy for a month since this leg just appeared messed up one evening. Sorry for bad pics but I shot them out my kitchen window. They would rather be on my porch by the back door than in their wonderful coop and my huge back yard. Strange.
What a cute coop! Yes, getting that leg under her is very good - if she continues to do that hopefully she will keep the leg warm this winter.
Not strange at all that they want to be by the backdoor - I would assume that is the magic portal you appear from bringing goodies and cheer
Mine are confined to a run, but watch the back door and windows like peeping toms, LOL
I hope she continues to improve. Thanks for the update and photos!
Love your coop, great job! When I used to let my chickens run the fenced yard, they'd congregate in my patio outside the sliding door. Once they tried coming through the screen. They're SMART birds.
Now I keep mine confined, and like Wyorp Rock says they watch the patio door & know the sound of it opening which will get them running to their door. They know the time/routine & if I'm late, they start pacing at their door. Yup, they are smart!
