Hi,

I've been searching through forums trying to find answers, but nothing seems quite right. I noticed my swedish/runner cross limping yesterday, but couldn't catch her until this morning. Her one toe is really swollen and won't bend. It actually kind of looks bent in the wrong direction. I don't think it's bumblefoot, maybe broken? There are no lesions. I'm posting photos in hopes someone has seen this before. I've got her isolated and am thinking about giving her fishmox. I sprayed it with tetramyacin just in case. Please let me know what you think. I'm new to raising poultry, this is my first dealing with injuries.

No scabs, she's just freckled. That's what made me doubt bumblefoot. Poor thing acts normal, but it looks so painful whatever it is.

I'm not familiar with ducks.
I would GUESS it's either broken or infected.
I was thinking broken, but read that it's rare that ducks break feet. She's such a clumsy good, I wouldn't put it past her though. I can't convince hubby to go to the vet, he says it's just a farm animal, so it's self treatment for now. My plan is to cover all bases soaking in epsom, keeping her off of it, spraying it with tetramyacin and fishmox with probiotics until I see some change that leads to a clearer solution or she gets better.
