help! My fav turkey ate a little rhubarb leaf!

One of the loves of my life, Eli, got into rhubarb that I had cut out but one leaf popped back up. On our am walk he took a few bites while passing. He had maybe 60 seconds at the most of eating the leaves. Will he be okay or do I need to do something? I’m super worried.

Those items which are often quite toxic to people can be tolerated quite well in small quantities by poultry. I would not be concerned.

According to this the toxins are not found in the garden grown variety but that's all I could find hun
Rhubarb ‑‑ There are different varieties of rhubarb (Rheum sp. ): Garden rhubarb (Rheum rhabarbarum ), grown in North America, differs from medicinal rhubarb (Rheum officianale and R. palmate ). The leaves of both varieties contain the highly toxic oxalic and should not be fed to birds. The stalks of garden rhubarb are edible and can be given to birds. The stalks of medicinal rhubarb contain anthraquinones, which cause catharsis. These are not present in garden rhubarb.
Thanks!

I know exactly how you feel, and I feel the same way when one of me favorites eat something on "the toxic plant list". So far all have survived decimating Rhubarb, onions, tomato plants, and apple seeds. Don't let them eat more, but I think he will be okay. :hugs
Thanks so much. You know your word is law to me. He’s fine this am. Thank god.
