Help! My female mallard flew away!

This morning when I was letting my flock out and for the day my 1 1/2 year old female mallard Darla flew away. I didn’t quite see where see landed but have been searching all day and will continue until dark but no luck. I live in a pretty urban neighborhood there are no ponds or streams near by. Do you think she will come home?

Have you checked all your neighbors yards hopefully without dogs. If everyone yards look the same she may have trouble but if she hears your other ducks quacking she might hear and come back.

I’ve put some food and water near my driveway and near my run fence hopefully she’ll get hungry and remember to come home. Her sister has been frantically quacking all day hopefully she’ll hear that and come home soon as well.

I hope so too if she close around she should hear her sister when my females quack they are loud especially when they can’t find each other right off. Please update when you can
