HELP!!! My first chick has hatched

Hi I have had a chick hatch and I'm not sure if it is acting normal, it keeps jumping about and tweeting and the next secound laying is this normal is just just stopping and resting?? This is my first hatch ahhhhhhh

It is likely trying to contact either it's mother or it's siblings.

Newly hatched chicks do sleep a lot in their first few days. They can be up moving around...and then it seems like someone unplugged them and they stop and go to sleep on the spot...lol. I always find it rather amusing.

If the chick is peeping loudly with a distressed sounding peep...it can be from a few different reasons. First things to consider; is it cold, hungry or thirsty? Since your chick is a newly hatched, it should have enough yolk stored for at least 48 hours after hatching.

A newly hatched chick requires a heat source of 95 degrees measured at the chick's height. This can be provided with different methods; a heat lamp, a heated chick brooder...and there are other ways.

Is your chick peeping happily or in a loud distressed manner?

The chick is doing a happy peep and yes I can't stop watching it so funny where it's up happy cheeping and next min asleep and then awake again lol I have a nice warm brooder for it when it's finished drying

I have 4.more in there 2 that where due the same time as the one that's hatched and two that are due today X

So a little update as the orthers are now 3 days over due I candles them to see if there was any signs of life and 3 where just yolk I made a tiny hole in the last one to them see it moving in the inner membrane!!!! Ahhh what do I do??? I put it straight back in the incubator in a panic but do I just leave it or help it????
