Help My first dealing with a prolapse. GRAPHIC PIC WARNING!!

Don't worry she will be fine! This happen too with one of my hens. Put some sugar on the protruding tissues and keep her separated from other chickens for a week or so. Make sure she gets plenty treats to help her recover

we had something like this to happen to my hen rosey. except her egg could not come out. her egg came out but it was still inside her skin and just hanging on her bottom inside the skin. we had to take her to the vet. the egg had to be cut out. the vet did a purse string on her bottom so she would not prolapse. the stitches stayed in 2 days. she has not done it anymore. it took a few days for her bottom to get clean. she had a wod of poop stuck. but it was like it was stuck in the skin. i couldnt really get it off. i quit trying to because i was afraid of the surgery she just had. it eventually came off in a few days. you can read all about it on this site. i have been posting and people having been helping me. giving me ideas and stuff. if you can find it it will help you tremendously!
