Okay, here's the deal. I bought 4 golden comet (and thus sex linked) golden brown chickens. Now they're 25 weeks, still no eggs, no egg song....and in the last week, two of them have started CROWING. At first it was funny, but now it's 5:30 am when they start and it goes for an hour or more and there's a 'no roosters' clause in our chicken ordinance, and well. WTH??

Is it even remotely possible that I've got roosters? They're HUGE and big combs and wattles, but no spurs, football shaped, no saddle feathers. And they're all shaped the same (except in size). If one's a rooster, they must all be. Help.

They are not colored right for sex linked roosters, but suppliers have messed things up more than once as far as identifying chicks. It's hard to get a good visual from the picture, but they do look like roosters. Oh, my, just clicked on your pic to enlarge - you have four roosters - sorry about that.

Pointy hackle and sickle feathers particularly on the two in the back plus crowing are pretty much a dead give away. I'm not positive on the bird left front, but he looks pretty masculine too.

Well. I guess that would explain why no eggs even though they're 25 weeks, despite the seller telling us that GC's lay early.
