ONe of my brown hens is spitting up white mucas. She smells sour. She has had a bare spot on the top of her wing ,that the feathers have not grown over yet. She is one of the smallest of my goldens comets & gets picked on. I have been putting no pick on that bald spot. She is moving around in the yard & picking a little at food. Is this just a stomach upset or could she have an infection going in that wing. Should I separate tonight. Do I need antibotics? I'm really concerned

Thank you so much. I followed threads & found out what to do. I didn't know a crop from a tail, but I figured it out. I emptyed it out twice. I amazed a little hen could have so much in there. She wouldn't eat bread soaked in olive oil, so I gave her 1 1/2cc of red wine. She slept in my arms for 30 mins . I hated to put her down. I'll check in the morning to see how she is doing.

If she has a wound she might get picked on possibly injured seriously It would be best to isolate her till shes healed. I've never heard of giving chickens red wine.

I followed the instructions on a site given here about wine, I hope its ok. Oh My
