My 4.5 month old crested polish pullet is wheezing and sneezing or coughing. Came home today she must have spent most of day in coop was sitting on roost with feathers fluffed and eyes closed making the weezing sound you can hear in video. My chicken free range all day. Rest are fine. She is not wanting to eat or drink. I brought her in put in hospital tote and gave drops of water with electrolytes and vitamins which she would take a little. I plan on continuing that through night.. Can't get her to eat a mash of mashed feed with scrambled eggs and a little water.

What else can I do right now? In morning I can go get her some vetrx at feed store....but I'm really worried about her...she was off a little yesterday but nothing too bad. Today ugh...Beethoven respiratory issues

Sometimes chickens can get over minor respiratory infections themselves, but it's concerning that she won't eat.

See if she'll eat some fresh mash in the morning. I wouldn't give any more electrolytes, and vitamins are good, but more than a day or two of those and she could get diarrhea from them. Those will help her fight what she's got.

The VetRX is akin to Vicks for us, so not going to cure anything, but might make her feel better. Folks put a drop under each wing and wipe a small amount near her nostrils.

If she doesn't improve in a day or two, you may need to get her an antibiotic. I'd keep her separated from the others until she's past this.

If you decide to get an antibiotic, Tylan 50 / Tylosen is good for respiratory infections.
Dosage is 1 tsp per gallon of water for 5 days.

Here's a few places you can order it from.
