Help!!! My quails have been attacked!

Anyone have any ideas on how to block off the coop/run
We used galvanized mesh/hardware cloth for our pen. You can see the excess dirt on the outside? We dug a foot and a half into the ground when putting the sides up and folded the bottom part in half to add an extra secured layer, then buried it. Anything trying to get in has a ton of digging to do if it can get past the electric fence we will put around that as well. I have been scared for my babies who were just born 3 days ago, so I went above and beyond. I hope this helps, and I hope they get better soon. I know you must be upset for them.

I would use warm water to try and gently clean the area, if you can get it Vetricyn is a great product, comes in a spray bottle and helps speed the healing process.
How many birds do you have and what is the ratio of males to females? The picture you just posted looks like a boy to me. If you have too many boys they will be super aggressive to each other trying to establish dominance, and they usually go for the eyes in their fights.
Well we have 7 quail all together but when we brought them the farm we got them from said we have 6 females and 1 male we have 4 Japanese (brown) And 3 Italian (Ones in photo) the male is a Japanese and others a female.

That's weird...looks green? She actually looks pretty good..yep..id just dab it with a warm wet cloth to loosen up and remove some of the goop. Do you have flies milling about? Sometimes flies will aggravate them when they have wounds and thier eyes can get irritated ..sorry I answered so late..just saw ur post
No i dont think we have any flies around but i'll bring her in and clean her up a bit:)

Tried to clean her up but it looks infected and wont open her eye.
Shes sitting on my lap wrapped up in a blanket.
Shes not eating or drinking pepetted some water in her beak and she drank a tiny bit
but shes not eating...
Dont know weather to take her to the vet and put her down.
I dont want her dying a slow and painful death if i cant help her ;c Is there anything i can do to save her D;

The gunk has become verry crusty and wont come off i cant dab with a tissue or she'll flap and I dont want her hurting herself anymore

Well..at this point...best advice I can give is to give her nutri drench and a broad spectrum antibiotic in the water and provide warmth ..and see if she makes it. U could try mushing up some feed and dripping it in her mouth to get nutrition down her. Something I like a lot is nutrical...it comes in a tube..its a paste..u can usually find it in the cat section..its a high density food supplement paste. Sometimes if I have a really chick bird not eating I will squirt a small amount in the mouth to give them a boost

You could try a warm damp washcloth, just hold it to that side of the bird's face for a few minutes to see if it will soften the gunk so you can get some of it off. You will probably need to hold the bird still with your other hand and keep it from flapping it's wings or moving away.

Thank you all for your help!
She's looking a lot better this morning she has her eye open she's still fluffed but up all the gunk has cleared up on its own! :woot:wee:celebrateNow all we can do is keep taking care of her and make help her eat and drink.
If we need any more help I will make a new Thread:hugs
