Help!!! My quails have been attacked!

Is it worth putting some sort of blanket of somesort to cover over there run?
So the predator cant get to them?

If its a feline..they r clever enough to get under a blanket..so will a predator.

Just a thought - are you sure the birds didn't do this to each other? Is there any damage to the coop, indicating something tried to get in? Quail can be very aggressive to each other.

Thank you both I agree it was probably a cat/dog I will try putting something on theye sores.

Im sorry to hear about your birds getting injured. But ive seen those wounds many times and the guilty party is usually in the cage already. Quail can get vicious this time of year, it only takes one bird to pick enough to draw blood. Then its full scale cannibalism, they start around the eyes and neck first the feathers then skin, once the injured bird gets beaten up to a point of submission. then the rest of the gang join in back pecking and it gets pretty bloody. separate the wounded bird if you can. Its just what quail do.

Just went to check on them and the one with sore head has puss coming out its eye... Should i clean it?

Might not hurt to use a warm clothe to gently dab/remove gunk and put some more ointment on it. Be careful not to rub to hard. Don't use peroxide! The skin round the eye is to delicate and peroxude will birn the skin. Just warm water

That's weird...looks green? She actually looks pretty good..yep..id just dab it with a warm wet cloth to loosen up and remove some of the goop. Do you have flies milling about? Sometimes flies will aggravate them when they have wounds and thier eyes can get irritated ..sorry I answered so late..just saw ur post

I would use warm water to try and gently clean the area, if you can get it Vetricyn is a great product, comes in a spray bottle and helps speed the healing process.
How many birds do you have and what is the ratio of males to females? The picture you just posted looks like a boy to me. If you have too many boys they will be super aggressive to each other trying to establish dominance, and they usually go for the eyes in their fights.
