Buckeye just ate some onions! I have no idea how much. He disappeared for a little bit, and when he came back he smelled like onions. I know he likes them because he once raided the trash and carried a big piece of onion around in his beak before I got it away from him. HELP!!!!! I am really really worried about him

Honestly, I dont think it will hurt him, depending on how much he ate--if it was my standard breeds, I wouldnt give it a second thought, but he's so tiny, I'm not sure if there would be any adverse affect. I've heard of two different things, a molasses flush and peanut butter to bind with the offending food somehow. Molasses added to a gallon waterer at the rate of 2 tablespoons. (will make him poop more) I've made oatmeal and added a huge heaping tablespoon of peanut butter to melt into it so you could do that, but he'll probably be fine.

My chickens have eaten onions that go out with the veggie scraps and nothing has happened to them. Then again... my birds have probably eaten all kinds of "poisonous" foods in moderation. The little guy should be fine.

I sure hope so! I probably over manage this little guy, but I don't know what I would do if anything happened to him.

I gave him about 3 cc of the molasses mixture.

My bantams have eaten pieces of onions before and it hasn't hurt them. They usually don't eat that much. Don't think chickens really like onions.
