HELP My starter feed didn't come in

My starter feed didn't come in, even though it was ordered w/FedEx delivery 5 days ago.

I now have 8 chicks that are 2 days old, and no food. I have offered them some mashed. hard-cooked egg yolk, but they are only vaguely pecking at it. Is there anything else "household" I can safely offer them? My husband will bring some kind of feed home tonight, but that's nearly 8 hours from now...

Chop up a boiled egg (white and yolk) and some rolled oats (the quick type is good) and give that to your chicks. If it's only been two days since they hatched they're not going to eat much anyway. Make sure they've got plenty of water and that they have been introduced to it (dip their beaks into it). They'll be fine.
