I got two 6-week-old bronze turkeys from a woman who ordered them through a feed store and raised them. One was killed by a dog, but the other one died from I don't know what - a disease or something. He was healthy one day, and then one afternoon he was standing in the corner of the chicken coop asleep. If disturbed, he moved a little and instantly fell asleep again. But not with the head tucked in. He was dead in the morning. We got two more turkeys from the same woman and now one of them is acting the same way. Can't stay awake. No predators, no injuries, plenty of food and water. I think it's sick and I don't know what to do!!! I think it will be dead in the morning.
There probably is Marek's in my chicken yard/coop so I get chicks that are inoculated. The turkeys are in with the chickens. I thought turkeys couldn't get chicken Marek's? Am I wrong?
