HELP!!MY TWO ROOSTERS ARE FIGHTING TO DEATH AND I NEED THEM TO BE FRIENDS AGAIN.

So I have three roosters(they are rescues) that I looked after them since they were chicks.They are of 8 months now and get along pretty well.usually my roosters are very friendly and docile.They also set their pecking order.now rooster no 1 and 2 seemed best friends.But yesterday suddenly they started to fight.Really a bad fight.I had separated them for a while and reintroduced them yesterday and they got along again.But in the morning,as soon as I opened the coop and they went outside they started to fight again.It seems like rooster no 2 had began to fight back.I love them dearly and its breaking my heart!
Can anyone help or advice me what to do?I really want them to get along again.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Are they just two roosters? No other chickens around? Roosters are very territorial and will in general not get a long with each other. In a normal flock setting each would keep their own hens and preferrably their own feeder or waterer to use as the dominant rooster may chase the other away. Assuming that this has been done and their aren't fights over feed i might just advise giving one away and maybe keeping the one or getting hens for it...

- Separate them
- re-home them separately
- eat em

You really don't want to see a rooster killed by another one, it's a bit cruel to keep them together. It's kinder to choose one of the options above.

Yes, over the long term giving one of these boys a flock of his own is the best option.

you can't force 2 roosters to be friends. Just like you can't force 2 people to be friends if they are enemies.
I'd suggest what @JudithB said; rehome one, and get the other one some hens.
Roosters are much happier with a family of hens

Yes they free range and as I have only 3 roosters and no hens.

It's called domination.... number 2 rooster has decided he wants to be number 1 ... only way to do that is beat anyone and anything into submission.... nothing is going to change that.
