I have two ducklings. Friday evening of two days ago, these ducklings turned around 3 weeks old. They also however started showing some signs of niacin deficiency. I had not supplemented them extra at this point but came to the rescue with a liberal amount of nutritional yeast in their food each time they were fed. Throughout yesterday and today however they seem to be worse. One seems to have trouble and discomfort in even standing, let alone walking much, and the other is standing and walking with difficulty. I put some SAV-A-CHICK in their water and mixed their food with a dietary supplement and more nutritional yeast. Is there a chance they can be saved? Maybe I havent waited long enough to see and progress towards recovery? They are still drinking yet not eating so much so I'm hoping the electrolytes and naicin supplements in the SAV-A-CHICK will help? Please help me!

FYI the water and food supplements started as of an hour ago, the nutritional yeast I gave to them all day yesterday, as well as some peas last night.

It will take some time to see improvement after supplementing their feed. What feed are they currently on?

They were on a Dumor Chick Starter/Grower and are now on the Purina Starter/Grower (Non medicated). The purina one at least mentions having a Niacin supplement. I mixed an oral supplement as well as the recommended yet large amount of nutritional yeast into this feed as well. I know the best option is a flock raiser but I didnt for see it being this much of a problem when I realized they were out of it at my local store and settled for what I could get!

I use flock raiser for my ducks and supplement with nutritional yeast just in case. I haven't had an issue yet.
But, I would definitely give it time to rectify the issue.
