I had a person buy eggs off my site. Ok they have been shipped. I get a voice message on the phone as to how soon the eggs will hatch or have they hatched, huh?
So I called. She thought when you buy eggs they have been preset (hen or incubator) and that we (as people who sell eggs) are selling partially incubated eggs and that when she gets them there will either be chicks in the box (that they hatched on the way to their new home) or that in a couple days they will.
No I am not telling a story!! So she needs (as she has no incubator or hens at this time and does not want to buy and incubator on how to incubate by a light bulb. Can anyone lead me to that info so I can forward it to her that my precious eggs might have a chance?

Thanks cj

You could also read my thread about a homemade incubator, but I am guessing that it may be a bit too much for your customer.

Yes, they can build their own incubator out of a regular styrofoam cooler. My husband modified the plans slightly to include a window on the top of the cooler to view the eggs & hatching chicks. We still use it today for the last 3 days since our other incubator has an egg turner in it.

Here are the instructions.
