HELP! Need some insight into this sudden chicken death

Thank you for your kind reply. I before I got my first dog I read something called the rights of the dog. Aside from the basic - home, love and care, the last thing was: the right to die with dignity and to be remembered with love. I guess being new to chickening, I had not thought about any of them dying as the whole flock is barel more than a year.
