Can you post a pic of it standing up. Also where did you get it. I ask because that can narrow down possibilities or if a cross is possible. Not a Rouen they are similar in color to mallard. Golden 300 if I'm no mistaken are white. Brown ducks include runners and khaki for starters.

I’ve never seen a khaki or chocolate runner with an eye stripe. Rouens are usually lighter colored, check out Metzer Farm’s video with golden 300 ducklings, they are brown and dark brown (faint mallard pattern)

They do advertise ones that look more like silver apple yards though, they are cross breeds that do not breed true so who knows

Thank you for help. Have chickens and just got 3 ducklings yesterday and they had no idea breed black one.

Tried best to get picture angles. Has to stripes and bill and feet have Black and Tan markings mixed. Got it at tractor supply in NC.

Do you think bill and feet having multi color on them is a defeat? And do you call them fret?) lots to learn gonna need y’all a lot so glad found site. Next is how to introduce to my 6 hens and their coop keep getting different answer like you can’t put ducks and chickens together in same coop
