I may possibly had the brooder set too high I didn't want it to touch the ducks in case it burnt them so was maybe an inch higher then the duckling when they was under it
The set up is in my home with water and food access
It's the same set up I had when I got my other two ducks ( the ones I now breed) not sure if I've done something wrong
Are the ducklings able to get under your brooder/heater? Their backs should touch the bottom of the heater - in order for it to warm them. As they grow you adjust the height to grow with them.
Is the eco glo heater, I think that is what it's called inside a brooder box, with water, feed etc. Is this inside your home? That heater would not be warm enough iin a poorly heated or area with no heat.
You can also post on the "Duck thread," they would know much more than I do.I don't have ducks.
