Help Needed: Newbie Quail Keeps Shutting Eye

We learned the hard way to never put almost-mature birds in with fully mature birds. I don't know what it is, but it seems to really tick the grown-ups off when there is a full-sized but not sexually mature bird in the pen with them. It's not just human adults who find the adolescents of their own species to be especially annoying, apparently.

Anyway--glad to hear she's doing better.

Lol! Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. It actually happens that I like teenagers a lot. I think they're a massively misunderstood species (I mean age group). It's just that, well, the vast majority of adults really don't get teenagers and would like to pack their low-riding tooshies off to boot camp along with their too-long bangs over their eyes and their bands we can't pronounce the names of. But I remember being a teenager and how little respect even the best of us got (even those of us who didn't wear leg warmers to school or our bangs seven inches higher than our foreheads).

The point of which is, I'm sorry for my rudeness. I really should give more thought to who might be reading. I didn't mean to be offensive.

Anyways, it seems as if there are many problems starting with quails. 'specially the babies.

Thanks.

Yeah, plenty of problems, but once you get in the swing of it, it gets pretty easy. And then, just when you think you're on track, you get into a bad batch of feed and your birds start dying.

But I still think it's worth it.
