The chick will be fine for another 24hrs. I would candle the others if you still haven't had any more hatchOne of my button quail hatched early and has been out of the egg for 24 hours do I put him in the brooder alone or wait and hope another egg hatches? Thank you
Today is day 17 I think I will do thatWhat day are you on? I would move him to the brooder with a mirror or stuffed animal to snuggle with until more of his sibling's hatch.
It is still lock down so I don’t want mess with them to muchThe chick will be fine for another 24hrs. I would candle the others if you still haven't had any more hatch
Being it's day 17, you're right on time of hatching. I read your OG post wrong, sorry. Yes I definitely wouldn't candle until it's a few days after day 18. Leave chick in the incubator, they'll be fine. I usually leave the 1st chick in incubator for 48hrs (time for everyone to hatch & all fully dry). Sometimes you'll have a couple end stragglers that will just stay in the incubator a bit longer than the original hatchers. It is still lock down so I don’t want mess with them to much
