Help needed with buying chickens!! Please help!!

Yep.
Confine them for a week or two, they will adapt to the new surroundings.
However, they are very close to their old home, well within freeranging distance, so this may be a continuing saga.
Good Luck with it.
I see what you mean! But I don't mind if they go and free range in the neighbours farm but I just ant them to come back and sleep in my coop for the nights! The rest of my flock always goes and free ranges there!! So I will see how that works!!

Can the others get to their nests to lay eggs and can they roost where you want them to? You don't wan to teach the others to lay somewhere else and hide a nest and you don't want them to learn to roost somewhere else.

You might have to leave them all confined, but if the run is big enough, that should work really well. To me, that is the best solution if the run is big enough.
OK I also thought that was a good idea! OH and anyway the others can get to their eggs and their roost if I lock the others up! And then I will just lock up the new ones with the old flock at night so that they know where they must roost???

I have heard of these before! The problem is that I live in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal , South Africa and I cant find any of them!!

You can find patterns for these on this site. My wife made these, each one took maybe 30 minutes to make and about $1.00 worth of material. There is a lady that sells them on BYC.
