How can I package baby chicks that I sell at a local farmer's market?

I pose this question here because I was told by the Town Hall that they didn't have an ordinance against it, YET. They have never had anyone sell chicks before. A guy sold some guineas, once. I don't want to ruin this opportunity for myself, or anyone else. My major concern is bagging or boxing the chicks so there is NO litter spread around the market area from those who purchase. I once purchased some chuckars and the guy stuffed them in a poly-mesh bag like an onion bag...that won't meet my sanitary standards at this place. I was going to buy donut boxes, poke holes in the clear plastic, but they cost 48 cents each on the internet; that's a big percentage if someone just wants a few chicks. Any ideas on boxes or bags? I really don't want to beg for boxes at grocery stores, but if that's my only option, I'll stoop. It's my intent to offer some of my ducklings, goslings, quail and turkeys. I've never sold chicks, before, so any advice on how to help me prevent an ordinance banning chick sales would be appreciated. I have another 8 days to prepare, so, yes, I'll be spending time reading when I get the time. I did a search for "boxes" on here, but all I saw were "nesting boxes" Go figure. Thanks.

I was also thinking along the same lines as the donut boxes but maybe other types of take-out boxes like for chinese food (with handles) or styrofoam clam-shell style. If you live in a large city there should be some type of restaurant supply store you could visit and see what they have. OR maybe you could even ask a local retaurant owner where they get their take-out boxes or even buy a few from him/her. I think this all dependos on how many you plan on selling at one time to one person. Take out boxes are good for a few but I think the donut boxes (bakers dozen size) are good for larger quantities. These are just my ideas, I have no experience here. Good luck!
