Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum so apologies if I do something wrong! I would really appreciate some advice with a little duckling that hatched last night.

We have so far hatched 4 khaki Campbell's, beautifully healthy and great fun. They are now about 2 days old. Last night a cayuga duckling made its entrance into the world. It is very sticky and gooey, in fact this morning it had stuck to the floor of the incubator. I wrapped him up in a warm wash cloth and gave him a quick wash as its eyes were gooey and shut and like I said it was stuck to the incubator floor, and I put him back in the incubator. He seems unable to stand, keeps toppling backwards and very unsteady.

Since then I have given him another quick wash as still very gummed up and have placed him under the brooder.

The yolk sack was fully absorbed and I can see no obvious problems with the little guy. This our second time hatching ducklings and I would really appreciate some advice.

Many thanks :)
