Update I just went out and looked closer and the bottom of her eyelid almost looks like it has lost pigmentation she is a black chicken there is no pus or bulging. It just has a little bit of the color removed. Also, I am not 100% certain the other chickens are plucking her feathers out or if she is just melting none of my chickens molted this past fall as they were all fairly new, they were just born a year ago they might be helping cracked the shells off the new feathers… I’m still puzzled of how my other girl passed away. I don’t know if they trampled her in the coop we found her laying in there. Her red was a pale pink, and she was just laying down. I tried gentle resuscitation, but I think she had been gone too long. We saw them at 6 PM the night before and I didn’t let them out until 3 PM the next day. They have plenty of food plenty of water heat. They are literally part of our family, and I treat them as so. I just don’t know what happened to her
