Help needed

Yes. A single comb will have obvious points/ridges, while a rose comb will be virtually completely flat in a young chick.
Thanks for info. All of mine have single combs and until combs started to develop, all I noticed was very tiny pink "buds". Guess you have to see both types side by side and use a magnifier to see the difference.

Do the barred chicks have a single comb (small spikes), or a rose comb (flat)? If single, they are either Barred Rocks or Black Sex-Links. If rose, they are Dominiques.

Could you post closer photos of each individual chick? I can't tell what the others are, though I suspect some may be Production Reds.

I will take better pics in another week, thanks for your help.
Tony.
ps; they all have single combs that look like "saw teeth"

I see the combs! Never looked that close when mine were that age. And didn't think you could tell that young, but you can.. The saw teeth would mean they will be single combs.

I will try to take more pictures over the weekend as they are getting hardy and bold now, one of them is very shy and is always last to eat for some reason.
Tony.
