HELP!! Neighbor collected eggs for me and forgot I have 5 Fertilized under my Brody Hen !!!

YIKES!! I am so so sad. It is day 15 …… and my neighbor actually was busy and had her daughter collect my eggs for me (while helping with other chicken chores) and forgot to tell her about the eggs my Brody was sitting on! They got put int he refrigerator for 3 hours on day 15. Any chance they will still be ok? I just check on them and they are nice and toasty again under her. Ugh!! I am so sad! Thanks for any advice!!

Wait a few days and candle to check for movement, or just wait until day 21/22 for hatching. Sorry to hear of it. Marking the eggs under a broody is always a good idea!

thanks ~ yeah ….. they are all marked with an X. But she wasn't looking for that and collecting in a partially dark coop. Darn it! LOL

I'd just let her keep sitting on them. You never know. Hopefully it just delayed your hatch a bit. Keep us posted!

OMG !!! 3 baby chicks so far …… out of the 5 !! Crazy. So ….. at 15 days old …. if your eggs accidentally go into the refrigerator for 3 hrs …… your babies still might be ok!! Whoooooo hoooooo !!
