Good luck. I think we all have some pet chickens on here, and it would be a hard decision to have to make. I just wanted you to be aware of all directions to go. Be sure to try to get a necropsy done on any if you lose them, or get one tested by a vet who could send off a culture. That might give you some peace of mind knowing exactly what they have.

So I've decide to take the path of culling my flock tomorrow I have 17 hens 1 rooster and burn the chickens and research how to treat my coop any run.I have terrible luck was going to coop everyday looking for one to lay us a egg as it's been a journey I have only had chickens for 5 months so I will back up learn from my mistakes and try again in the spring I will make some changes to my coop and will be ready for springtime.

So I culled 5 chickens and my Neibor has been raising for a long time he said to wait and get one tested so I am going to figure this process out.He said chickens get colds and they look not hardly sick and the smell is regular for sick chickens and I've never smelt a sick chicken.So I'm so confused now.

I hate to suggest this, but you may have gotten this infection from the neighbor if he has chickens. These things spread around pretty easily through the air, water, and droppings. If he has ever had a positive flock yours could have caught it. If so, you would be better off treating them, since new ones could be exposed. I would probably go ahead and treat them for the time being, and Google all of the respiratory diseases on this link to educate yourself. Gave all my chickens 3/4 cc of Tylan 200 still a few have runny nose.
