Help!?!?! NEW!!

hcammack - That's just it!

I don't know what on earth I am hatching!!

There are heaps of different chickens! There is:
- a brown one with white speckles.
- 2 reds (I think they are rhode
island reds)
- 2 golden roosters with long golden
feathers.
- There was a few white ones (i think
leghorns) but they got taken by a
fox.
- One golden hen like the roosters, I
haven't seen her for a while!
- A few little dark brown ones (sex
links i think)
- A few little black ones (sex links i
think)
and a few others that i cannot remember.

They have a coop but go in and out as they please and are free range. Even at night! They sometimes lock them up at night but not often and at the moment because they are away and we can't catch them! Also they prefer the eggs free range.

I think I should be allowed to keep at least one. Because we have a 4 acre farm as well as a house in town with about 1 and a half acres!

Here are some pics of the chickens from today. Sorry about the brightness and size!

A speckled one that is ALWAYS in the nest. And is MOOOODY you cannot get her out and wont let you touch her and if you do touch her, you get a bleeding hand!! And she is faaaast!! I had to leave her to her nest the other day, i wasnt even allowed near the other nests, or ELSE!! ETA - she does actually have another leg! lol!

A nice looking chiken! She is in there quite often now!! She is very tame and lets you watch her lay, but you never see the eggs, she covers them well!

Sweet Kizza my 8 year old grand son became so excited about my eggs hatching and he insisited on taking one home under his arm to hatch at home. no amount of taking could disuade him from this effort. He put it on a heating pad when he got h ome and loved it faithfully for 21 days.
guess what? no matter how much talk we did to try and prepare him for a dead chicken or egg.. IT HATCHED>
so listen and read all you can on the matter, but keep on doing what you are doing and pay attention and must maybe this miracle will happen for you.

its much simplier than it looks.. even chickens can do it. luv judy
