My maran mix Sassy started going broody around 2 weeks ago. I didn't research it, just thought she'd "get over it" since I remove the eggs laid by the other hens daily.

She didn't. Her comb is pale and she's lost weight. I have brought her inside and put her in a dog kennel with food and water trying to help her break the broodiness. She did eat when I put her in there. The kennel is reasonably small, so food and water will always be within reach.

I'm furious with myself and would like to know if there is anything special I can give her?

Is your dog kennel wire bottom?

Tried and true method to break broodiness is to have the bird elevated in a wire bottom cage so air can cool its bottom.
