Hi all,
i am a total newcomer to hatching eggs, but when two of my hens went broody (and my husband went broody also) we bought some fertile cream crested legbar eggs to put under them.
we are now on day 24 and there is no sign of hatching, i float tested them last night and they floated very low on the water (only tiny bit of egg was above water) which i think means there is viable life in them.
it has been a bit chilly over here at night, could that have slowed their development.
I am looking for reassurance that we are doing the right thing sticking at it. The hens are still happy to sit on the eggs.
thanks in advance
