Help, newbie here. Can roosters get too cold?

Live and learn I guess. Well make sure to ask more questions. We got them on a whim and just put them in an old grainery we had. We put hay and perches and use a heat lamp in the winter. In the spring we will get moving on a real coop I think. We're not very handy though. But hopefully we have a few friends who can help.
 
We just met someone in the area who has silkies, so my daughter is excited to get a puffball!
 
That is good news jeanbean; hopefully her new puffball might help with her grief.

I am probably the last person to give advice on heat lamps, living in Aus and not really having a winter, but please consider using a heat lamp very carefully.
