HELP! not moving chick! what do I do?

Pics
Right there is your problem. You should only have one broody at a time. Unless you have completely separate setups in order for them to brood away from each other, broodies will fight over eggs, fight over chicks, break eggs, and sometimes kill chicks.
Exactly. Now I have an incubator. Not to say I wont ever hatching with a broody but she will have her own coop.

I have another question though, we want to put our broody mom in our big aluminum tin, that sits inside of the garage. Since we want her to raise the chick and its way to cold outside for that right now. I have made a nest for her in the tank and she seems to like it. we put here there yesterday and shes settled in.
our garage is 45 degrees F.
If we put a heat lamp directing to the left side and the mom on the right so it wont be too hot for her, will the chick survive? (we are obviously going to put food and water and all the other thing chicks need in a tank :)
Thank You!
1st, I wholeheartedly agree with @DobieLover
I wouldn't use a lamp. I really don't think she will need extra heat, but if you think you do, use a sunbeam heating pad on low. Cover it with a towel and some shavings so it doesn't get too hot and make sure she can get away from it.
Make sure your tank is covered to keep rodents out. We all think we don't have them, but better safe than very sorry.
I always just put my babies under a broody as they hatch. If you have the empty shell put it under too.
I don't wait for dark. I cover them with my hand and slip them under. The hen may peck the chick a little to make it stay under her, that is normal.
One of my top hens isn't nice to the others, but she is the beat broody that I have. She will adopt any chick that comes along. Give your hen a try.

hey, sorry I haven't posted in a while.
The chick is doing great, we did put him under the hen and she easily accepted him.
we even got the chick 3 new siblings because then he would have been alone.
The mom liked that, she accepted all 3!
we have a small happy family now!
Thank You!

Hello everyone! I'm so sorry i haven't posted in a while...
The chicks are doing just fine, all running around and chirping!
though we have some problems.
We've just discovered that we have rats in our coop that come to visit at night...
Though that happened, that's not one of out biggest problems.
Our mom hen has been acting very VERY tired, shes lying on her side and not eating nor drinking. Shes only one year old so I don't think that shes acting like this because of age...
We though shes just tired so we put the chicks and her in the garage for the night to sleep without having to worry about the rustling the rats make.
In the morning nothing has changed, still tired and wont eat.
We checked for infections or injuries and did not find anything like that.
please let me know if you have any advise...
(sorry for not posting in a while again)

Have you checked her and the chicks thoroughly for mites or lice?
Is mom's crop emptying?
How old are the chicks?
