Help (not super important but I need some help)

Hey all! I have a situation and I need help with it. So I have 4 ducks they are my world!! I love them so much! And I post them on social media (only with my family) and a family member of mine (that doesn’t live with us) keeps talking about how our ducks would taste good. They are encouraging me to eat my pets. How can I make them stop? I would never eat them. They are my babies. They are emotional support animals at least for me. They are my everything! This family member is close with our family so I can’t block them. I just need to make them stop. Sorry if this is not allowed but i need help with this.

Your family member is nothing more than a bully, the very fact that they say this is a good reason to block them and just tell the rest of your family exactly how their comments make you feel

My parents joke about eating them... but know they care, when they buy a duck from the store when they could just grab one from the back (Funny thing: My dad is TERRIBLE at making duck, LOL. He know's it. My mom says she will make it next time because she has made duck before

Oh for pity sakes.
Unless your 5 years old I suggest developing a thicker skin.
You have a livestock animal as a pet and that's ok. And it's fine to express your adoration of them and let your family know you love your pets and they aren't for eating.
But being devastated over what's most likely a little teasing is just silly. Laugh it off and tell them your gonna get some cats for the bbq instead. Do they have pets? Ask them if they have a dog they would like you to cook up.

Are these people really going to come over to your house and slaughter your pets?
If no then I wouldn't waste a single second worrying or being upset about it.

You have no control in life over what other people say and do.
But you have every bit of control over whether you allow it to affect you emotionally or not.

I had a pet rabbit as a kid and there was not a single uncle that did not tease me about cooking that rabbit for supper some day. Those are some
fond memories right there. 😂
