Today my duck eggs are starting to hatch. Unfortunately, I have two Welsh Harlequins and a White Crested --all three sitting on same nest. I read on other threads where someone lost 3/4 of their baby ducks because she had two ducks on nest and they stepped on babies and they died. I have THREE. UGH!!!!!!!

Do I remove the hatched babies till hatching done then put them back with one of the Momma's?

Do I just pray and keep fingers crossed the three won't step on and kill the lil babies. I have two ducklings so far I saw this morning (all fluffy) and while I was in there I saw one hatch out.

I am so new to ducks and really, really appreciate your help!!!!!

THANK YOU!!! :)

Is one hen an experienced mother and can she cover ALL the eggs? If so I would remove two hens and let the hen most likely to be a good parent hatch the ducklings.

THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!! All three are new Mom's and they are 10 months old. I will pick the one who went broody first as she seems the most dedicated.
