Oh, I think they are about 3 weeks old.
The first one was tired looking and had its feather all puffed out and by its self-figure cocci killed it.
So they are on med starter and have corrid inthe water now.
This morning they all ate and drank water one looked a little different by staying away for the others but still ate and drank. Husband found it dead!
I have them in a box with white shavings they have a light they have a perch and food what do I need to do to stop this from getting to the rest of the chicks. I only have 5 left.
I have never had a problem with chicks before.
Ok when I picked them up they had been put with hen could mites kill them with out me seeing them?

Take them off the shavings and put them on paper towels. They sometimes eat the shavings- at least mine did.
Is it warm enough in the brooder?

Sometimes chicks just die from genetic problems or they just fail to thrive. I hope the rest are ok.

So I just checked on everyone this morning and they seem ok.
I think Im baking them, it was 97 under the heat light, they can get away from it they have like a 4x4 box with a lid on it . I also cut two holes on the side to get better air flow in there.
Did I kill my two babies with kindness?
