HELP...older laying hen..bleeding from vent..

one of my older layer hens is bleeding from her vent...dripping blood. I have noticed that she seems to be slowing down on her laying and her eggs seem to have had much harder shells than usual. any advise if needed and wanted...please advise..

Have you been able to see if the blood is coming from inside, or if the outside of the vent has been damaged? Have the other birds been picking on her? Vent picking is pretty common among chickens and they can pick another chicken bloody pretty fast.
