I am on my day 3 of incubation. Is it too early to tell if my eggs are good or not? I am not seeing any veins forming. Please see pictures and tell me what you think.

I think you are jumping the gun. I always wait til AT LEAST day 10 to candle now. I used to be a candling addict. It only makes you crazy!!!!

ETA: You can really only see veins well on day 7....

check out this sticky: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=261876 and compare your candled eggs to the pictures. I found this to be super helpful. According to the sticky, it is too early for veins. What you are looking for on day 3 is a "blood island". Check out the pics and see what that looks like.

Hope that helps. I can't tell from your pictures if there is a blood island or not. If you don't see one, wait a few more days until there is supposed to be the "spider" of veins. Then you will know for sure.

Happy hatching!!
