Help on Muscovy eggs.

Oh, you poor things! It's so hard when there is only one. Even though the other one will be a week older if it is just the two of them I think they'll be just fine. They'll be glad to have a friend (especially your baby).

Sometimes with incubators there will be quite a big temperature difference inside because they aren't insulated (like the super expensive, top of the line ones are). If you wrap a towel or blanket around the incubator, leaving the vents uncovered, it should help to stabilise the temperature inside. I had to do that last time. I tried adding 'heat sinks' (I used bottles filled with water) but it wasn't until I wrapped a blanket around it that there stopped being such a big temperature difference, even though ours has a fan on it.
That is good to know! My mom went and picked up the week old duckling. I was worried that the older one would pick on the baby but instead the baby was kind of picking on the older one😂 The older one follows the little one around and everything seemed good at first but the baby is still crying like crazy for one of us to pick it up. Does it just take time for them to get used to each other?

You baby has imprinted on you, so it sees you as its mother. You might just have to give it some tough love and ignore its cries (as difficult as that is). You know it has everything it needs so in the interests of getting some sleep you'll have to give it a bit of tough love.

That’s what we assumed. Breaks my heart but I know it will be happier with another duck once it gets used to it. Had them in a kiddie pool in our living room under a heat lamp. The baby kept trying to jump out but couldn’t get very far. But just right now I was lying down and could here a panicked cry that got louder and louder. Got up and the duckling we just got today had jumped out and was exploring! So into the big tub they went! We have 2 adult Muscovys but this our first time raising them. Definite differences from these guys compared to the other ducklings we’ve raised!

Sounds like they are keeping you busy! They are sweet little ducklings. Ours are at the teenage stage and testing their boundaries. We are now teaching them to keep their distance a bit and that they need to get out of our way. They've learnt pretty fast that we won't put up with their nonsense. For some reason the boys really didn't like our son's shiny black and red boots.

They’re little buddies now!! We are so relieved😁
